Ambiguity
Art Gallery on Darling 8-13th July 2025
When the fog descends, shrouding the surrounds in mystery; when darkness obscures clear perception of the way ahead; when sunlight breaks through dramatic storm clouds….sense-making and meaning-finding can be hard to pin down.
This body of work is about navigating uncertainty. It is a tour of the internal and external landscapes of obscurity. In painting the seeming incongruences in nature I am also reflecting on the human condition. A quiet exploration of mixed emotions. Through my painting I seek to discover how to get comfortable with the unknown and find peace in the incongruences. It is a journey to the quiet, steady place inside which makes sense of the inconsistency.
