Katrina Beissel is an emerging Australian artist based in Sydney, sharing her painting time between her studio in Brookvale and her cabin in the Blue Mountains. Her work focuses on capturing nuances of atmosphere and light, through subtle tonal variations and a balance of softness and structure. Roads feature predominantly in her pieces, both as a compositional element and a conceptual exploration of journeys and transitions. 

Katrina was a finalist in the Lane Cove Art Prize 2024 and the Fishers Ghost and 9x5 Landscape Prize 2024 and 2025.
